Drake and Gibb Trial. - Sunday, May 9th 2021
The Club will hold the Drake and Gibb Trial at Hayes Coppice, Monmouth. The venue will be signposted from the A40 road between Monmouth and Ross on Wye. The Trial will be open to affiliated members of the ACU and will be run in accordance with the National Sporting Code, the standing regulations for Trials of the Auto Cycle Union ( Ltd ), the following supplementary regulations and any final instructions to riders that may be issued on the day of the event.
There will be a maximum of 8 groups of 5 riders accompanied by an observer with the first group starting at 9:30 and following groups at 10 minute intervals. The observer will carry a pre prepared bag containing punchcards for all 5 riders and punch the scores at each section. In the event of there being insufficient observers, then one rider in the group will take responsibility for observing. There will be 2 laps of between 18 and 20 sections. Riders will be notified of their identification number which will take the form of e.g. A1 and they will create their own number using the template on the Western Centre website, or by hand.
NOTE THIS EVENT WILL BE SUITABLE FOR ONLY EXPERT AND COMPETENT INTERMEDIATE RIDERS
